Moodle is an open source web-based course management system that is used by organizations, schools, universities, and training companies globally to provide online learning and the online component of blended learning. It is the world's most widely used open source course management system.
The objective of this course is to familiarize European teachers and training professionals with ways to develop their e-learning activities with Moodle. This means that the participants of this course will have the opportunity to gain great knowledge on how to use Moodle features, tools, strategies and practical tips on managing their own e-learning platform. The training course will provide European teachers with an introduction to Virtual Learning Environment, as well as with hands-on experiences with practical examples and case studies (preexisting Lesson plans) and tools that are commonly used to help educators in creating their own digital courses. Under this scope, the participants will be able to create their own virtual classes' standalone tools and web applications in their everyday activities, encouraging, at the same time, their students to become active in the course following their own time schedule.
