Description

The objective of this course is to familiarize teachers and trainers with Microlearning and the Flipping Classroom.
Microlearning is a methodology that breaks learning into small parts in a non-linear, holistic and recursive way. Learn the principles of the strategy, along with the steps required to turn new or existing content into a microlearning track at this course using a proprietary method.
This guided course is designed to walk you through the steps of flipping a single class; the process is scalable for flipping portions of each unit or an entire course. One of the major factors in course redesign is the time it takes to do it well.
Under this scope, the participants will be able to create their own lesson plans incorporating standalone tools and web applications in their everyday activities, encouraging, at the same time, their students to use digital repositories and content.

Course Modules

The course content has been organized in 12 modules, covering the below issues:

  • Microlearning approach, Flipping Classroom approach
  • Presentation of didactic paradigms that can give ideas to teachers and trainers
  • Hands-on exercises on how to create bite-sized learning content
  • Possible scenarios on using learning segments in everyday teaching activities using the Flipped model
  • Flourish the Flipping Classroom scenario
  • Presentation of creating, managing and fine tuning a YouTube Channel
  • Hands-on exercises on creating an educational YouTube channel and creating an interactive series of videos
  • Possible scenarios on using interactive video stories in everyday teaching activities
  • Video production
  • Quick tools and professional tools
  • Input about video production: use of different technologies for recording and editing, video effects, transitions, titles and sound post production, Interim evaluation
  • Presentation of group projects, Evaluation, followed by certification ceremony, Guidelines for follow-up activities
  • The concept of eTwinning & Erasmus+ KA2
